Music & Worship Consultant Terry Williams is serving as the Music and Worship Consultant of the Florida Baptist Convention. Prior to this transition, he served for fourteen years as the Team Strategist of the Music & Worship Ministries at the Florida Baptist Convention. In addition, Terry launched Priority Worship Ministries in 2015, this new itinerate ministry is designed to provide coaching, consultation, clinics, and conference events for pastors, leaders, and worship ministries. With a passion for worship and offering the Lord the very best, he has a desire to partner with leaders and churches to edify, engage, and encourage all of the body of Christ in developing a lifestyle of Biblical Worship.
Terry has been the Director of the over 500-member Florida Worship Choir & Orchestra since January 2002. Under his leadership, this team has led worship concerts in Coventry, England, the Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Brooklyn Tabernacle in New York, Experience Conference at Disney World, and the Miami Worship Project. They have recorded seven choir and orchestra projects with Prism Music entitled: GOD OF THE AGES, GREAT I AM, ALMIGHTY GOD, GOD OF HOPE, YOU’RE OUR GOD, OUR GOD REIGNS and GOD OF GLORY.
Terry was the Associate Pastor for Music and Worship at First Baptist Church of Ocala, Florida for over ten years, as well as other churches in Florida, Georgia, and Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Stetson University in Deland, Florida and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
His passion for worship combined with his experience as a music minister and worship leader for over 40 years gives him a unique perspective and insight for training and inspiring today’s worshipers. Terry and his wife Earlene live in Florida and share a common calling as ministry partners.
